WELCOME TO THE TOWN OF DAY
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WEBSITE
CLICK HERE FOR SPECIAL COMP PLAN PRESS RELEASE
The comprehensive planning process provides a vision for the Town’s future by
examining current and future needs and making recommendations as to how best to shapephysical and economic growth, preserve natural resources, maintain a safe and healthy environment and better serve the needs of all residents.
The end product is The Comprehensive Plan, which guides the achievement of that vision.
While the plan does not have the force of law, it is, nevertheless, the basis for the myriad decisions that the Town’s boards must make in meeting the needs of its citizens.
This is important work for our Town, and it is expected to take a total of about two years to complete the entire process which started in June of 2008.
When completed this site will contain links to the entire Comprehensive Plan and its maps.
In addition there will be regular information updates on the committee activities including meeting minutes, progress summaries & additional planning information.
The material will be posted in a PDF format enabling you to save a copy or print it.
NOTE: All materials posted in the Draft Plan section are just that: Drafts –
nothing is final” until adopted by the Town Board in 2010.
Those materials which are currently available (indicated in blue)
