There are many ways to tell the history of a small American town, but none as enchanting as this magnificent quilt, which offers a visual journey into the past.

Created through the collaboration of some of the town's most talented residents, each block has been individually worked into wondrously intricate patternings that beautifully illustrates a landmark that is part of the town's culture and history.

Take a journey and explore the town's history by simply clicking on the individual blocks on the quilt below.

When you are in the area, be sure to visit the Town of Day Museum to enjoy the the many fascinating artifacts chronicling the areas history. Including photographs, postcards, newspapers, machinery, hand tools and even a scale model of the entire lake and the surrounding mountains. The montage at the top of the page shows just a few of the many interesting items on display

The Museum is now open on Saturdays from Noon to 3:00 PM except Flotilla Day July 19
