THE TOWN OF DAY RECYCLING CENTER IS LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF
NORTH SHORE ROAD AND HADLEY HILL ROAD. TURNING ONTO HADLEY
HILL ROAD FROM NORTH SHORE ROAD, THE RECYCLING CENTER IS ON
THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD ON A SLIGHT RISE.

EACH ROAD WILL BE PICKED UP ONLY ONCE!
*REFRIGERATORS - FREON MUST BY REMOVED*
*PAINT AND OIL CANS MUST BE DRY*

Recycling Pickup Schedule
If there is inclement weather, recyclables are picked-up on the following day. If the following day is an inclement weather day, then recyclables will be picked up on the next scheduled pick-up day.
Plastic items must be separated from the other items and placed in containers not bags. Newspapers, dry - Magazines, Catalogs & Office Paper, dry - cans, rinsed- Glass, rinsed - Household Batteries - Corrugated Cardboard (must be flattened). All the other items no longer need to be separated from each other (just the plastics) but still need to be in containers not bags.

Wood chips available for removal by the public during May through October.
PERMIT REQUIRED FOR ABOVE USES OF RECYCLING CENTER. MAY BE PURCHASED FROM TOWN CLERK AT TOWN HALL OR ATTENDANT AT RECYCLING CENTER FOR $10.00. MUST BE RENEWED YEARLY.
MOSQUITO DUNKS AVAILABLE AT DAY TOWN HALL MONDAY - THURSDAY 8 - 5 & AT RECYCLING CENTER
RE-USE CENTER: NO ITEMS MAY BE PLACED IN OR TAKEN FROM THE RE-USE CENTER AT THIS TIME
An area has been set aside in the recycling building where residents may bring in and/or take out donated items for free. Open during regular scheduled hours. See list at the recycling center for what items are accepted or call the recycling center at 696-2406. Town takes NO RESPONSIBILITY for condition of items. NO CHILDRENS ITEMS OR CLOTHING.
REFUSE (GARBAGE) PICK-UP SUMMER SCHEDULE FOR 2020
DUE TO COVID-19 LOOSE GARBAGE WILL NOT BE PICKED UP!
ALL GARBAGE MUST BE IN CLOSED BAGS
2020 Memorial Day week: Pick-up North Shore side of Lake: Tuesday May 26th - South Shore side of Lake: Wednesday May 27th
2020 Summer schedule starting June 01st: North Shore side of Lake - Monday's South Shore side of Lake - Tuesday's
through Labor Day week
Refuse (Garbage) must be in plastic bags and closed containers to prevent access and littering by animals. Littered garbage will not be picked up.
Garbage must be at roadside by 7 AM to be picked up.
(If there is a Holiday on a Monday pick-up will start on Tuesday of that week)
Please recycle recyclables rather than put them in the garbage. It costs the Town more, therefore the taxpayers pay more, to process garbage than it does recyclables.
Problems with Refuse/Recycling may be directed to Town Supervisor at 696-3789 ext. 1 or Town Highway Superintendent at 696-3019.
