There are three town cemeteries located in the Town of Day: DAY MEADOWS located on Min Allen Road, CONKLINGVILLE located on Cemetery Road, and DAY CENTER located next to Day Town Hall on North Shore Road.
These cemeteries are maintained by the Town of Day and are open April 2nd through November 30th of each year. Maintenance includes mowing of grass, upkeep of roads and fences. The groundskeeper will remove decorations whenever they prohibit the maintenance of the cemetery or become unsightly due to deterioration from the elements. Planting of trees and shrubs on any lot is prohibited.
A complete listing of the rules and regulations governing the Town of Day Cemeteries are noted at the bottom of this page or are available at Day Town Hall. If you would like to apply for a lot at Day Meadows Cemetery, you will need to complete the bottom section of the "Certificate For Lot" and contact Skip Johnson at 518-863-6548 or Town Clerk at 518-696-3789 ext. 2 if you have any questions. No grave site can be dug prior to notifying Skip Johnson to ensure that the site location is verified against the cemetery map.
