The exception is if there are no agenda items the Planning Board will not meet. For upcoming meeting dates please check under Town Meeting Schedule on this website home page. Under Minutes/Agendas are past meeting minutes and upcoming meeting agendas.
Please note that if a holiday falls on a Monday, the meeting date would be moved to a Thursday that week.
Applications for Subdivision Approval, Boundary Line Adjustment, or Site Plan Review may be obtained from the Town of Day website under the Forms tab or a printed copy is available at the Town of Day Town Hall. Applications must be submitted on Tuesday the week prior to the regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting.
Five members are appointed to the Planning Board by the Town Board, and serve 5 year overlapping terms.

The Planning Board is typically responsible for assisting property owners under two sets of circumstances:
Because the Town of Day has an Adirondack Park Agency (APA) approved land use plan, the Planning Board is responsible for approval of APA-defined Class B projects, while the APA retains authority for approving APA-defined Class A Projects. The definitions of Class A and Class B projects can vary in some complicated ways, so property owners in Day are advised to begin their discussions with the Planning Board.
The Planning Board’s deliberations are governed by relevant land use law, and the Town of Day Comprehensive Plan. The Planning Board notifies the Saratoga County Planning Board of all applications involving property close to County Roads, County owned properties, certain streams and other locations. The County reviews the application, and notifies the Planning Board of any concerns.
- Those property owners who wish to divide their property into two or more pieces (to subdivide), or who wish to transfer property between adjacent property owners ( a boundary line adjustment).
- Those property owners where a use on the property requires site plan review and approval as specified in the Town of Day Zoning Law. Typically, these are properties with businesses on them, or properties (both residential and business) that are within the Viewshed Protection Area.
