The Town of Day is funded, in part, by taxes on real property – the land and buildings in the Town. The basis for property taxes is the “assessed value of the property”, a value which is consistent with the value the property would sell for if it were on the market. The Assessor is charged with computing that value consistent with the laws of New York State, and in a manner fair to all tax payers to insure each of us pays our fair share and no more. Property assessments are a matter of public record and may be reviewed on the Saratoga County website. 2023 Town of Day Final Tax Roll: 2023 Final Roll – County of Saratoga, New York (saratogacountyny.gov) STAR EXEMPTION PROGRAM: New year-round residents who may be eligible for the STAR exemption need to call 518-457-2036 and not the Day Town Assessor's office to be enrolled. You may also apply online at http://www.tax.ny.gov/pit/property/exemption/seniorexempt.htm All other exemptions are processed through the Town Assessor's office. SARATOGA COUNTY ASSESSMENT DATABASE: This database contains all Saratoga County real property information. Access is provided to the assessment database‚ tax maps‚ photos of real property and County tax information. Users may also compare assessments and sale prices to that of similar properties with an easy to use “comparable assessments” or “comparable sales” tool.
